As market conditions and customer behaviors are rapidly changing, companies must adapt to emerging competition scenarios timely manner to commercially stay sustainable. Among several critical approaches that can be taken, introducing new and innovative products developed by utilizing competitive new technologies is one of the most impacting and long-lasting solutions. Not to pay licensing fees, not to economically and strategically depend on third parties; many companies prefer developing their own technologies to use in their product or process lines. Developing a new product or process technology or running a successful technology development project necessitates effective tools, skill sets, and a proven step-by-step engineering methodology. Technology Development Engineering is an engineering training program that has been developed and practiced in world-class research and development centers. In a further study, the program has been updated and enriched by blending implementation experience in regional companies to make the knowledge set effectively practicable in technology development projects.

One flagship program. Two unique formats.

Blended modular format – The program has 5 modules (40 hours in total), each having intensive one full day (8 hours) with a blended format of training and workshop activities. Depending on availability or preference of attendees, these modules can be divided into two or more block sessions, such as 2 continuous days a week + 3 continuous days a week, or similar. If not open to individual applications, the program can be held in customers’ facilities or other mutually agreed locations/centers (university campuses, conference centers, hotels, etc.).

Blended continuous format – The program takes place over five-day continuous intensive sessions. Each day is planned with 8 hours of blended classroom training and workshop practices. The program can be scheduled from Monday through Friday or Wednesday through Sunday or similar formats depending on customer requests.

Key Benefits

The program helps participants better understand how to deal with competitors in the market, and get trough technical challenges to succeed by developing and implementing new technologies. Key benefits are learning and implementing technology development engineering steps in doing following work:
  • Understand how the company’s product is positioned in the market.
  • Learn how to enhance competition strength by introducing a new product technology.
  • Develop functional requirements of a targeted product technology.
  • Practice technology concept development and selection strategies and methods.
  • Develop technological models, simulations, and architectures.
  • Make technological proof of concepts calculations.
  • Build prototypes, plan and conduct tests, and collect experimental data.
  • Carry out optimizations studies to bring the technology to a maturity (readiness) level to be used in product development projects.

Who Should Attend

  • Scientists (with physics and chemistry background) and engineers at all levels on Research and Development teams of technology driven organizations.

Admissions Criteria and Process

We admit candidates to programs with appropriate background, specified in “Who Should Attend” sessions under each program. Scheduling a program is triggered by individual candidates or companies and organizations. Admission to programs is space-available basis.
